In this class we will explore the different aspects of daily life for the Pioneers of the West. Class time will include: read aloud books, hands-on projects, and some worksheets. Students will learn about packing a covered wagon, the Oregon Trail, Native Americans, making butter, pioneer toys, washing clothes by hand, wildlife pioneers encountered, and much more. All materials and worksheets are included in the price of the class and provided by the teacher.

In this class we will explore some basic engineering and building strategies. Most of the class time will be spent doing hands-on building projects. Students will work individually and in groups, depending on the project. Building materials that will be used include: legos, household items, and building kits. All materials will be provided by the teacher. Some projects will be sent home with the student, but most will be built and then broken down for a future class. We will discuss science and engineering in God’s creation as well.
