This course will be designed around curriculum material from Generation’s Essential Writings on Church History. Over the course of 2 semesters, students will be introduced to a survey of church history spanning from AD 30 to the present age. This course is work intensive and requires daily reading assignments, homework questions, exams, and writing assignments. All assigned work will be turned into the teacher on Friday for weekly review. Students will also be required to examine excerpts from some of the most revered texts within church history including the following: essential writings from the Apostolic Fathers, Eusebius' Ecclesiastical History (Books 1-8), Bede's Ecclesiastical History of the English People (Books 1-2), and Philip Schaff's History of the Christian Church.

Homework time expected: 1-2 hours per week

This class aims to help your elementary aged reader develop confidence in his/her ability to read aloud in a group setting. Students will be given short scripts for age-appropriate skits, and each week will explore how to build communication skills through storytelling.
