| Course Description |
This literature class is designed to introduce students to modern classics and to teach them how to analyze and insightfully discuss the books they have read. This class is almost entirely discussion-based. Students will be required to read weekly, keep a reading journal, write a reflection of each book they read, and participate in book discussions. Book selections will be made based on the books recommended in the Sonlight curriculum course for 20th Century Literature.
TEXTBOOKS REQUIRED: Some but not all titles include: The Great Gatsby, Kon-Tiki, Parallel Journeys, The Wave, Wednesday Wars This class is worth 1.0 high school credit. |
