| Course Description |
This literature class is designed to introduce students to modern classics. It is my desire to teach them how to appreciate, analyze, and discuss the books we read. The class is mostly discussion-based. That being said, students will be required to read weekly and participate in book discussions. Book selections will be made based on the books recommended in the Sonlight curriculum course for 20th Century Literature. Poetry and short stories will be added throughout the course as well. There is no required textbook for the class, but students will need to have access to read various books. I will provide the reading list before class begins in the fall. Credit: 1 hour Class time: 1 hour Homework time: 2-3 a week hours depending on how quickly the student reads |
