Introduction to the 70 foundational phonograms (using Wanda Sanseri’s “Spell to Write and Read” - 70 phonogram cards) through activities, asking the children for example words, affirming them by writing their applicable examples on the board, encouraging class participation through interactive games, and sending a spelling word list of reinforcement examples home each week – (optional for parents if they choose to review with their children). This is a no stress class - but one that offers vital building blocks for spelling/reading/writing success.
