| Course Description |
Are you ready to learn about the countries and cultures of God’s big world? This class will explore the major continents, countries, and oceans with a focus on historical missionary biographies and cultures of the world. Memorizing will be a small part of the lessons, but the main goal of the class is to help students marvel at the world God created. We will explore food, living environments, and (very) basic beliefs of different cultures with reminders of their need for the gospel. |

| Course Description |
With an eye towards the large historical eras of art and music history, this course will introduce students to the biographies of major artists, composers, and poets. Students will study with attention the great works of these historical figures. Poetry recitation (reading aloud a selected poem) as well as short, graded narration-style (telling what they remember after observation) written and oral assignments will be assigned weekly to students throughout the course. This class is worth .5 high school credit. Expect up to an hour of homework per week. |
