| Course Description |
Class Requirements: 1. A Bible ~ We will be looking scripture and seeing how it aligns with our laws. If your student does not have a Bible, I can provide one. 2. Something to write with ~ Note taking is a vital skill and we will be referencing a lot of previous lessons throughout this class. Homework: 1. Homework will be really light in this class and should only call for about 30 minutes of study time here and there. 2. Most of the homework will consist of students writing a summary of what we have learned and then giving their opinions on the topic. 3. There will be days when I ask students to write me a case review as homework which should not take very long because I will be handing them all the information needed to complete the assignment. 4. My goal is to keep the homework light and fun so that the students can still learn about this field and it does not disturb the coursework of their other classes. Class Goals: By the end of this class your student will be able to: 1. Look at law cases and easily inform you of what has occurred and what the outcome is. 2. Have a better understanding of their rights. 3. Understand how to apply certain rights to specific situations 4. Increased critical thinking and problem-solving skills 5. Have a better understanding of how to debate different opinions while focusing on facts and not emotions. The goal of this class is for students to have a better understanding of the law and to build their debate skills. Along with this, the goal is to teach them the biblical application of God’s laws in our nation today, which often says that God has no part in our society. I have such a passion for this field and want to share it with students who either want to go in the law field or just want to deepen their knowledge of their rights. In 2023 I graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law, and a minor in the Great Commission. In 2025 I graduated with a Juris Masters. I have worked in the law field since 2021, in both Georgia and Alabama. |
