| Course Description | The goal of this class is to introduce children to quality children's picture books and stories. We will enjoy reading and talking about them in a relaxed setting. Some of the books will be Caldecott, Caldecott Honors, or Coretta Scott King award winners. Coloring pages related to some of the stories will be a part of the class as well. |

| Course Description | The goal of this class is to introduce students to the Spanish language and help them learn in an enjoyable, non-pressure setting. Methods of learning will include the Total Physical Response method, songs and chants, videos and other activities. Some of the vocabulary learned will be: greetings, numbers, colors, animals, foods, days of the week, months of the year, clothing, and weather. Interspersed will be introductions to Spanish-speaking culture including celebrating and learning about Cinco de Mayo and Christmas in Mexico. |
